Naked Poetry with MaryElla Marie and The Positive Force Team

The Naked Poetry Readings were birthed into the virtual world at the start of the COVID 19 lockdown in 2020. Performance artist and facilitator, Maryella Marie, conjured these readings to have a sensual outlet and safe space to gather as the world started to close it’s doors, which effectively censored all the in-person provocative, sensual, and cultural events that she produced and participated in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

These Naked Poetry Readings have truly been invigorating, self-liberating, and reflective gatherings curated to welcome both the curious voyeur who comes to listen and watch, as well as the poet and poetry enthusiast who wants to share original or archived works.

Naked is natural and oh so fun! The goal is to create a sense of joyous adventure, as we move so much of ourselves online.

Please help us create a space in which those of us who love to be naked feel supported in doing so. This is a leap of faith for some, and let’s please create trust together.

freeQ Event Terms of Service agreement:

You agree that you will not photograph, audiotape, or videotape any part of the freeQ Event (Event). You agree that you will not screen grab or otherwise copy any of the Event content. You agree that you will not share any of the Event content in any form.

In other words, don’t be a jerk or abuser. We liberate ourselves by trusting that we will not exploit each other. Don’t make us sue you or ban you from our wonderful community, which we will do.

Consent rules:

We encourage the use of an enthusiastic, affirmative model of consent. Negotiate, communicate; ask, don't assume; “maybe” should be presumed to be a "no." So, this is a digital world. If you want to get someone’s contact info or pay them a compliment or ask to engage with you, please use the enthusiastic consent model.

This queer-centered, gender-inclusive, and body-positive space is for humans of all genders, races, sexual orientations, ethnicities, body types, physical/mental realities, and backgrounds. Racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, fat-phobia, ageism, body shaming etc. will not be tolerated. Please respect pronouns and names, and ask politely if you are unsure. Cis people are encouraged to share their pronouns when introducing themselves.

We have our own web app, the freeQ system! We send you a secure URL right before the event.

Please use the chat feature so you can connect and give feedback! You can “private” chat another traveler in this feature too. Please be respectful. Kindness and consent.

If the host chats you about housekeeping stuff, like why your name doesn't match the RSVP list or turning your camera or your on-screen behavior or whatevs and you don't answer, the host will bounce you and you can follow up later.
